The program opens the DocuFax sign-in page. Sign in with your password and two-step code as usual, then choose Connect this computer.
Use the folder
A DocuFax Drive folder appears in your home folder and on the desktop. The DocuFax icon (Windows: notification area; Mac: menu bar) shows whether everything is up to date, and tells you when a new version is out.
Recover files
With your organization's recovery key and encrypted backup, the program can also decrypt your files without an internet connection, even if DocuFax is unavailable.
Before you install
- Your organization must allow DocuFax Drive (administrators: Settings).
- Documents in the folder are ordinary files on the computer, not encrypted by DocuFax. Use it only on a computer your organization manages, with disk encryption turned on (BitLocker on Windows, FileVault on Mac).
- An administrator can disconnect a computer at any time and have its DocuFax Drive folder emptied.
